Bespoke audio production is music composed and recorded specifically for one client and one purpose, rather than selected from a catalogue. It delivers an exact fit to brief, picture and brand, and it normally comes with an ownership or exclusivity arrangement negotiated in the production contract.
In practice
A bespoke commission runs through brief, demo, revisions, recording, mix and delivery, typically over three to eight weeks, with fees from a few thousand euros upward for a professional result. The advantage is control: tempo, length, instrumentation and emotional arc are built to picture. The risks are schedule and subjectivity — revision rounds expand, and a track designed around one edit can stop working when the edit changes. The contract must also state explicitly that rights transfer, since composing to order does not by itself move ownership outside the US.
